David Gonsier

David Gonsier is a dancer and photographer based in New York City. David has been a professional dancer for over 15 years, and has toured extensively both nationally and internationally as a freelance dancer in concert dance and opera productions, including ten years with Sean Curran Company. He joined the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA) in 2009 and has had the privilege of being an AGMA delegate for the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, where he has danced since 2012, working on grievances, arbitrations, and collective bargaining negotiations. David was elected to the AGMA Board of Governors in 2019. Additionally he is a co-founder of the Dance Artists’ National Collective (DANC), a growing group of freelance dance artists organizing for action toward safe, equitable, and sustainable working conditions.
