Le Broke Lab is a collective founded by Merryn Kritzinger, Susan Paulson and Roxane Duchesne-Roy, professional dancers who live in Montreal. We are eclectic performers with an artistic background and a background that sets us apart and, above all, brings us together. Having had the chance to work together for several years on various creations and national and international representations, we have developed an immense bond.
Together, we felt the need to explore other territories in order to approach our art differently and to surpass ourselves otherwise. This thirst to learn, share and rejuvenate was matched only by our "modest claim" to be able to offer so much as a performer. We have imagined an exploration platform free from all constraints related to the production of a work.
In December 2011, we therefore founded Le Broke Lab, a series of research micro-laboratories involving collaborators from all backgrounds.
